Chromogranin A Antibody, Monoclonal, Rabbit targets Chromogranin A (CgA), a key neuroendocrine secretory protein that is primarily located in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. CgA serves as the precursor to several bioactive peptides including vasostatin, pancreastatin, catestatin, and parastatin, which regulate neuroendocrine function both autocrinically and paracrinally. This antibody is ideal for Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and Immunofluorescence (IF) applications. CgA is widely used as a tumor marker for neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), with elevated CgA levels found in the serum or plasma of patients with various NETs. The antibody is derived from recombinant rabbit IgG, has a molecular weight of 51 kDa, and is purified with Protein A. It is stored in liquid form at -20°C and remains stable for one year after shipment. Suitable for human, mouse, rat, and pig samples.
