LALBA (Alpha-lactalbumin) is a calcium-binding metalloprotein and a principal component of milk. As a monomer, LALBA binds strongly to calcium and zinc ions. LALBA forms a complex with beta-1,4-galactosyltransferase to produce lactose synthase, which is involved in lactose biosynthesis by transferring galactose to glucose. LALBA-null transgenic mice lack lactose in their milk, which impairs the ability to feed pups. This polyclonal antibody, derived from rabbit IgG, is ideal for Western Blot (WB) and ELISA applications. It is reactive with human samples and stored at -20°C for long-term stability, ensuring reliable results in organoid and other research studies.
