Lysozyme Antibody, Polyclonal, Rabbit, also known as LZM, is a glycosyl hydrolase enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of bacterial cell wall beta(1-4) glycosidic linkages. It plays a critical role in the monocyte-macrophage system and enhances the activity of immunoagents in tissues and body fluids. LYZ also exhibits transglycosylation and slight esterase activity, with mutations in LYZ leading to amyloidosis type 8 (AMYL8). This polyclonal antibody is derived from rabbit IgG and is ideal for applications such as Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and ELISA. It is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, providing robust detection for a wide range of research, including organoid studies. Stored at -20°C for long-term stability.
