ONECUT1 Antibody, Polyclonal, Rabbit targeting ONECUT1 (also known as HNF-6) plays a crucial role in pancreatic research, particularly in studies related to the development and differentiation of pancreatic cells. ONECUT1 is essential for the development of pancreatic islet cells and insulin production, making it valuable for pancreatic organoid research as well as studies on β-cell maturation and differentiation. As a homeodomain transcription factor, ONECUT1 is key in regulating the development of pancreatic ducts during early mouse development, and it is expressed in normal acinar and ductal cells. However, ONECUT1 expression is notably absent in pancreatic cancer cells, particularly in most pancreatic cancer cell lines, suggesting a potential tumor-suppressive role in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). The loss of ONECUT1 expression points to its involvement in tumor suppression mechanisms, offering new insights into the biology of pancreatic cancer.
